                  State Key Laboratory of Molecular Vaccinology and Molecular Diagnostics

                  State Key Laboratory of Molecular Vaccinology and Molecular Diagnostics was Approved by Ministry of Science and Technology of China on December 24, 2013. School of Public Health sets up State Key Laboratory with the support of Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Division of Science and Technology of Xiamen.

                  The main research directions of the Laboratory are: 1. Vaccine targets and its mechanism; 2. Structural basis of vaccine and molecular design; 3. Biomarkers and in vitro test methods; 4. Design of diagnostic probes for molecular imaging and imaging research. The Laboratory aim to start high level basis research and application research, lead the regional scientific innovation and serve for local economic development.

                  Currently, the Laboratory has 74 research staff, including 2 specialists of Ten Thousand Talents Program, 2 experts of The Recruitment Program of Global Experts, 2 professors with Outstanding Young Investigator Award.

                  During the past years, the Laboratory has hold more than 70 national and provincial research projects, including 863 projects and 973 projects. Successfully transformed many research achievement into products. Including the first Hepatitis E vaccine in the world and many major diseases diagnostic reagents. Received more than 20 domestic or international patents. 

                  The Laboratory is the leading institution of China Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance of Infectious Disease Diagnostic Reagent. The Laboratory has cooperation with NIH, Harvard University, British Health Bureau, Sanofi Pasteur, Merck and other world-leading research institutions. It also has long term scientific research cooperation with Taiwan University.
